Christer Lofqvist and Ole Olsen
Christer made his British Speedway debut at Wimbledon
for West Ham in 1970.
He rode for the Pirates in 1972 and came 4th in the
World Championship,
and stayed for the Pirates for 1973 before moving on to
Hackney.
Pictured here, he is showing the Great Dane himself the
way round.
Christer held the highest CMA of any Poole Rider for
both those Seasons and came
3rd in the Blue Riband in 1973 behind Anders Michanek
(1st) & Peter Collins (2nd)
